What Couldn't Be...

by HOLLY ARMER   Sep 15, 2004

Alone and running tormented by your voice.
Remembering how it felt when you made your choice.

You wanted her...I was pushed aside.
The hurt and anger was too much to hide.

I was self-destructing from inside out.
I wanted to scream but could barely shout.

Your memory haunts me, driving me mad.
As these feelings surface, making me sad.

The pains unbearable as I'm ripped in two.
I'm feeling all this because of you.

My body and soul are numb to the pain.
My mind is racing, I'm no longer sane.

Madness consumes me, I'll never be free.
Unless I let go of what couldn't be.

It'll be hard but I must fight and try.
For I refuse to let you be the reason I die!
