Pay Back

by Robert   Sep 15, 2004

They said they were down sizing like all companies do,
But I asked them if they were joke for it was not true.
They said no you will have your check by the end of the day,
I was in fright, my family ahh my house what could I say.
Just before lunch I tried to talk to my boss for a second chance,
And found out that he was going to work freelance.
In fear I begged for a lesser pay and keep my job,
They referred me to the owner Bob.
I walked with earnest to his office in the back,
Hoping he would be human cut me some slack.
When I saw him he didn't even know my name,
And he gave me little comfort to what came.
He told me I could go later or now without my check,
Didn't he know he was making me a wreck.
I lowered my head and left from his sight,
Then walked to my car with all my might.
I found some M-80's my son had had,
Which I took because he was a confused lad.
I saw the nice Jag that stated Bob Car on the plate,
And I put two in his tale pipe to seal its fate.
I looked around for any one in sight,
Then I lit the wick and the automobile took flight.
It sprang in the air and turned to Its side,
And the grin on my face was just so wide.
I shut my door and raised my finger,
Letting the conviction of my attitude linger.
