Little Girl

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 15, 2004

Once upon a mid-night's dream,
All trees branches ripped at the seams,
A little girl stares, watches the end,
Counting every possible break to mend,

Took her teddy bear, and clenched it tight,
Praying to God with all her might,
She knew Santa would miss his rounds,
And every little tear, shattered on the ground,

Poor little girl cried to angels above,
Swearing her only sin was in love,
But they all ignored her, went on to chat,
That little girl reach up, but got sent back,

Little girl sits at her window and cries,
Wondering why the bible is full of lies,
So she turns up the carols and sings them loud,
Closing her eyes, but no dreaming allowed,

Teddy bear dropped, fingers went loose,
Little girl let go, tired of pain and abuse,
Christmas Eve, and to heaven she flew,
Past chatting angels, above clouds, and through,

Teardrops are drying, toes getting cold,
Music is fading, teddy bear is old,
Poor little thing, no one believed,
Now she'll be nothing but a memory,

Above she is watching all those below,
Wanting to leave, but God saying No,
Another tear falls, and it lands on her bear,
Parents still sleeping, still unaware,

Christmas will come soon, little girl without,
People will forget what the season's about,
Death of a young girl, and no one will know,
A Merry Christmas present-
Wrapped with a bow.
