One Last Chance

by fear no pain   Sep 15, 2004

He's just sitting there
With nothing left to say
He was mad at her
On that horrible day

He never thought about it
Not once that entire day
He didn't look anyone in the eye
He had nothing else to say

They got in a fight
Over some stupid little thing
Not knowing that her death
It could bring

She was so upset
Cause no one ever cared
That she took her own life
Because no one was there

He never saw it coming
He was consumed in his own life
He didn't have time
To notice all of her strife

Every single day
She always tried
To do whatever he wanted
Until he was satisfied

He never even noticed
All the little things she did
The pasted-on smile was really
All the pain that she hid

He used to always take for granted
That she would always be there
She was so afraid of him
She hid from his cold stare

Now that she's gone
He wish that he could say
I'm sorry, baby
I didn't mean to hurt you that way

But it's too late now
He won't ever get the chance
The last time she saw him
He gave her an evil glance

They parted and
With their last "good-bye"
She walked into the house
And picked up that knife

It's too late now
He won't ever get the chance
To say, I'm sorry, baby
Can I have just one more chance?
