The Layers I Wear

I want to take off all the layers that I wear,
I want everyone to see me and show them I care.
I am a good person, deep down inside,
if only you could see all the pain that I hide.

Do you feel the same way about your many layers?
Do you go down on your knees and say all your prayers?
I wish I could peel away all my pain,
It just won't go a way like a huge black stain.

I am not sure how to tell you about me,
Will you understand me and set me free?
Or will you not know how I feel,
and not help my many scars heal?

Please help me in this time,
Right now I need someone to help me climb.
The trunk is too thick, branches too tall,
Please help me now so I won't fall.

If you'll be my friend I will be yours too,
I will help you through and see your view.
You can depend on me with all your heart,
We will learn together and become very smart.
