Wife To Husband

by Robert   Sep 16, 2004

Hand in hand,
I will lift you so you can stand.
Eye to eye
we will never know why.
With the words we have said,
keeps us together until we are dead.
In night we will talk in whispers in jest,
opening our selves to be our own guest.
Our bodies mold into one,
only to bare a daughter or son.
We kiss to show what we feel in side,
we talk so we have nothing to hide.
World is of hurt and pain,
but if we work together we will be sane.
Our kids will see us like all do,
knowing our love for each other is true.
In embrace and gaze,
our love will dissolve any haze.
My love for you is like water and land,
and it is counted in endless sand.
There is no word to ever fit the way I feel,
no action can show you you're my only thrill.
If you were never to be alive or born,
I know my life would be forever torn.
Not knowing what true love can be,
not letting the love I feel for you be set free.
give me your touch and name,
and I shall show you love without shame.
Tell me as I have told you,
a love that we both know is true.
I know we shall die in the end,
but let us die beyond lovers into friend.
Give me your dreams and fears,
and when you cry it should be I that wipes the tears.
I can only live with this vision in my head,
for my life without us together I would rather be dead.
