Dangers Of The Internet

by Robert   Sep 16, 2004

It was just a word on a screen,
A voice in letter that seemed too keen
We spoke as the night pressed on to day,
We laughed and let our dreams sway.
He said I was a friend a true soul to be met,
But because of loneliness this was my biggest regret.
Told me he saw no such beauty as he saw in me,
He told me of a life that was to be full of life and fancy free.
He asked me if we could meet face to face,
A time where he would be proud to be in my grace.
I felt that I found that one person that would care,
That one person that would set me free from this despair.
I told him we would meet on a flight just in the next state,
It was four days later when they rolled my body in the morgue to seal my untimely fate.
