Defeated Angel

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 16, 2004

Puzzle pieces missing,
It can never be completed,
The way a fallen angel,
Has unwillingly been defeated,

A crooked halo and broken wings,
Now victim to the fall,
Whilst the trumpet plays the mournful tune,
The hymn sung by us all,

Clouds lay across our morbid sky,
As our devil rejoices in prayer,
Expecting the arrival of our fallen one,
Before arriving in his layer,

He grins in thought of success,
From causing one to not believe,
Adding power to his colony,
Another Angel-Demon to receive,

Every time someone loses faith,
An angel must give back its wings,
Causing flight to quickly halt,
And slowly loses everything,

A world they know is ripped away,
Without their input or consent,
Sorry Angels - I don't believe,
This theory is irrelevant.

^ I realize that in the end, I pretty much go against the whole poem. Whoops.
