    Based on the theory:

"All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration; we are all one conciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves"

  • Your poems started to go out of my understandings.. Your themes are very intense.. and i am a silly minded person. I always admire your poems. It is so matured..so professional. To be frank.. i can't say i understood this poem in the right way.. So i will come back later. MAy be after reading some comments..i may get a better idea about this. :@X

I’m sorry Trincy, I’ll try to explain it. To be honest, I didn’t expect anyone to understand this piece, like I said it’s based on that theory above.

The first two lines of the first stanza are speaking of all people looking for the meaning of life. The second two lines speak of religion and mostly the people who founded it. Essentially it’s saying the creators of religion are people who came up with powerful dreams of where people came from. Sciolist, a person with superficial knowledge, convinced of enlightenment. It means they have no proof, yet they are convinced it is the truth.

The second stanza goes into dealing with hypocrisy. Human is as human was, meaning that me attempting to bring in another theory of where people came from is no better than the men who invented the different religions. I have no proof either, so who am I to say what is right or wrong? It’s all relative opinion.

Elucidation, or clarification, is what everyone is looking for. But in this theory, everyone already knows the answer deep down.

“You are a part of me, I am a part of you” goes into the belief that everyone is connected as a single energy consciousness.

The last stanza deals with the meaning of life. Our mission in life is to collect knowledge and gain experience to take with us in death. Our souls, made of the collective energy mentioned before, go back to the single source when we die. There is a god, but it is the energy that exists within everything. This world exists through that energy taking a physical form. While this body may die, our souls are truly eternal.

Like I said, it’s based on a theory. I don’t know if I believe that theory or not, but it sounded interesting so I thought to write about it.

Another reason I chose this topic was because I knew many people would not understand it. It’s interesting when 11 year olds will comment on poems and say it was a great job when you know there is no way they understood it.

So there ya go… I’ll be back to my original styles soon :)

  • Oh wow! I got an explanation by the author itself! Thanks for that. When you broke down the first stanza itself, the rest became clearer.. It is a difficult poem but interesting. I can never write this packed. I know sometimes people praise for no reason. But if you enjoy writing multifaceted poems then you shouldn’t stop writing them. People like me are happy to learn. Thanks for taking time to explain this. :)

  • It's strange that no much people commented. I guess it was too deep that it scared away the readers! Lol! I'm eagerly waiting for your next poem!

Brandon I don't think you remember me, but we spoke once before on here. I believe it was one of the chat rooms. I took a break from here for awhile and now that I've come back... WOW! I'm impressed by this poem. Your knowledge and use of words leaves me speechless. The joy of reading other poetry is, that I could have taken that complete different, but it's the way my mind is set. You opened up a whole new door for me.. Thank you! Please write more! And feel free to read some of mine... not as good as yours, but hey if it's bad, then let me know! =o)
