Set Aglow

by Robert   Sep 17, 2004

A word that was spoken out of kindness or in jest,
has made you a very welcome guest.
I hold your word because I can't feel you flesh beside me,
but your words and laughter seem to set me free.
I am set ablaze with your wit and thoughtful manner,
but I must take this time to show you my canner.
I wish more for us then words to sleep and dream on,
for I hope in your heart the words you speak are not a con.
It's been so long since I have ever touch a person in that way,
but you have given my mind the fuel to stray.
I dream of what your lips must feel like,
and I wonder when you see me if you will say take a hike.
Oh, I have been with you more time then I can ever tell,
and if those times were in films I know it would sell.
In the privacy of my bedroom I want you all alone for me,
and then I will show you how I can become truly free.
Set aside every thing that some may see as unclean,
for interlocked in our embrace a passion will be for seen.
I will hold you close and you will not go,
just come to me darling and let me set you aglow.
