The Child

by Robert   Sep 17, 2004

In the grace of time and life,
I see others go through their strife.
Some of weak body and strong mind,
others with body of greatest power to be mind.
I have watched as they learned the old ways,
and became cocky enough to learn ways.
I have held them in my gaze as they stood up to meet the others
and shied my stare when they took their lovers.
IN the blackest of their life I seen the find light,
even as they died I saw them struggle to fight
In the end I saw it all through those tiny eyes,
the way we all become wise.
A fascination and a love of all children I confess,
but to us I know it is our greatest of God's blessed.
