Another Scortcher (Australian Summer)

by Aileen   Sep 18, 2004

Lightning bolts through the sky,
Thunder rumbles through the clouds.
Rain drops tease small leaves,
The summer storms are here.

Christmas just past,
Wind free humid days,
Sheet-less sweaty nights,
Weather reports never change.

After a scorcher
Faces are glum.
The skys break loose,
Blackouts here we come!

Morning comes,
the clouds are gone.
Turn up the fans,
Put your togs on.
Crank up the barbe,
Reallies are on the way!
It's going to be
Another stinking hot summers day.
