Other ones

by August   Sep 19, 2004

These people are plastic
Their eyes without names shine paper or air
Eyes filled with TV and clothes to fill them up
They are the Other Ones
He relates to her, like a bone to a tooth
Stone to a rock, Other Ones are all the same
They will love each Other
They will go to war
Another One, blend in quick
Avoid a cloud, retire young
Not individual,
Individual group, indivisible by any matter
Except themselves
And suddenly they turn to wisps in my mind
Canceling One Another
Or Another One
And a tainted wind called man floats Earth through my clouds
No Other Ones in the future
A life begun
Were they ever there?
I sink, finally into life untasted by all but me
They are gone, my streets are quiet
