Some Laughter

by FTS Miles   Sep 19, 2004

Some laughter you can’t resist,
You tripping over “carpet”
Into my arms, taking me down
Onto the bed in a flotsam of
Surprised hair and hands,
Our bodies bouncing together
For a moment of Newton
Before we finally settle warm
Into each other’s lips, tongue,
Eyes closed for a moment
Enjoying just the sensation
Of fingers tracing lines of neck,
Shoulder, riding ribs to a giggle,
Thighs to a moan,
The soft pressure, release, contact
Of puzzle pieces closing together
To fit in all the right moist places,
Sighing whispers, nibbles to ears
Which have lost all sound but that
Of heartbeat and torrid brushes of tongue,
Dewy and hot teetering over
Forgotten cliffs of
Comforters and pillows strewn
By clumsy spontaneous clawings
And shovings as muscles yawn
And pulse and tighten,
Voices trapped by partial breaths
And moaned outbursts until a
Tumbling smile arises as you
Pounce against my chest,
Gravity pulling on your lethargy.
Yes... some laughter you can’t resist!
