Dark day

by Precious Sison   Sep 19, 2004

Lying down on my bed
With tears on my face
I think of you
And my life's confusing maze.

There are so many things
To ponder and do
When I lay and think
Of my memories of you.

I always longed to say
What's inside my heart
But when we spoke early this day
I didn't know where to start.

So when we sat
By the white-sanded beach
I had to say it
Though words were out of reach.

Recomposing myself as i sat
Was the first thing i did
Before i let me words
Come out and Bleed.

I suddenly felt
Your soft lips on mine
Before i even spoke
Or recognized the time.

When you pulled away
You said you were sorry
But i was glad you did it
And you must not worry.

You grew quiet
Though your eyes do talk
Saying profound words
In you they seem locked.

Then you said it
Loud and clear
That you do not feel
For me, my dear.

I had to go home
Where i now lay
Reminiscing the events
That happened that day.

Lying down on me bed
With tears on my face
I think of you
And my life's confusing maze.

There are so many things
To ponder and do
When i lay and think
of my memories of you.
