Before we say goodbye

by Jacob Staly   Sep 20, 2004

Before we say goodbye for yet another day
there are so many things I wish I could say
So many feelings I wish I could express
so many things I wish I could address
If only I could put them into words
perhaps our conversation could carry onwards
But this simple task is proving to be so tough
the time we spend together is never enough
So at least know that I love you with all my heart
and you'll be deeply missed when we are apart
When we aren't together you're still on my mind
the way you make me feel could never be defined
I would give anything for a single kiss
a second with you is something I never want to miss
I pray this lasts forever and our love never ends
I hope we stay strong when our relationship bends
I wish you could stay, but I know you must go
I just wanted to say this, and let you know
