Can’t you see my tears?
Liquid diamond flecks
Burning trails in my cheeks
Leaving a story behind
Each streak a chapter of the pain
Rosy red puffing splotched cheeks
Lips like a ripened plum
Begging to be tasted
Licked
Enjoyed..
Distant glassy eyes
Gazing into another world
Into reflections of myself
Seeing nothing but a skeletal figure
All traits sunken into pale
Nothingness
Voices whispering into my untrained ears
Lagging S’s flow down to my toes
Nails cracked and untrimmed
In a place where you just don’t care
And can’t you wipe the tears?
Hiding the story from the world
Each sentence tucked away
Cleaning up my cheeks
And kissing my newborn lips
They’ve been waiting
Bringing me back to the world
Where the skin begins to fill again
And I can hear you
But can you hear me
