Awaited awakening

I got the idea for this after watching Queen of the Damned (Lestat is HOT!) and it was named after a song on the soundtrack, but hey, to avoid hypocrisy about copyright violation, I changed the name.

I wish for you beside me in the wastelands of eternity.
I have found and now destroyed what I have searched for since antiquity.

Yearning to feel your skin break beneath my lips,
your crimson flowing into my veins.
You cease to breathe for your neck is in my grip,
your body shuddering in silent pain.

I am jaded, alone and hated,
sinking into the past.
Centuries have passed unfated,
I am an enmity, at last.

I thirst for blood and feed
on what I'm forever cursed to crave.
Forced to flee from daylight
and to crawl back from my grave.

The everlasting predator
shielded from demise.
I walk amongst the living
devouring life beneath the midnight sky.
The blood of man keeps me alive
though man, for me, must die.
The jury, slaves of Satan, have drained my humanity dry.
