Lonely in Hell

I want to hold you,
But I know you're not here.
And I want to kiss you,
Cause you feel so near.

I think about you,
Every other second of the day.
And even though you're gone,
I love you anyway.

Ashes to Ashes,
And dust to dust.
The preacher never knew,
How much those words hurt.

Why God laid
You down to sleep,
Will remain a mystery
Deep within me.

Didn't he know,
It would ruin my life?
Can't he see your memories,
Haunt my nights?

If he could feel my heartache,
Feel my pain.
Maybe God would realize,
Why I'm not quite sane.

Taking these pills,
To get away from it all.
Don't know where I'm going,
But it's been a long fall.
