Destruction

by Jackie Bilson   Sep 22, 2004

I was a peasant
But he still saw me
This, 'Prince Charming'
Of the twenty first century

The girls in our village
All whispered and talked
Still it wasn't long after
Hand in hand we walked

They all took notice
Of how great I could be
And started to see
What you saw in me

They all plastered on
Faux caring smiles
But it all fell apart
In just a little while

They stirred until we boiled
Rage against each other
Mistakes and silly fights
Until we lost one another

So always be wary when you have something great,
Everyone will take notice and conspire to break.

Very interesting. I like how you kind of turned it into a fable, with the moral at the end. I really liked it, good job!
Yes, some girls can be so fake & spiteful, hey! Unfortunately, some of them don't mature no matter how old they get =(
