Ode to Trout

by Stumbling Shaman   Sep 23, 2004

The dribbling drap of a yapping manticore, a tabbling dank, a slammering fat, a stankering cat in a dank corner filled with octupus, octopi and squid. Sqid blew the flimmering flute, a stammering flup. A sump in a dump. Dope. Doop. Moot. Moat. Mate. Fate. A squid and fate. The dying octopi, a shimmering wish, a mangled flute loved by a mangled cat, loved by a strangled bat, betrayed by bread, wholemeal and round. Sounding down. Clowning sounds, twisting strungs, twusting strings. Twusting in Flum we twust, Thrusting at one we trust, thrust with a mighty clam, to damn, to hell with hams to hell in a rush for the insidious cust, a tard, turd we heard shot from the syringe of hindsight. A twang of pine, a twinge of walls to climb.
To eat; Bugs to greet with a sky of shafted shininess. To shine on the damp, to phamp a clamp immeasurably unnoticiable, a glimmering simper of utmost violet. Violets in December on a Tuesday.
Hairy.
Scary days of death and sandwiches. Dust and colour, Bust and dither, twist and slither in insolent extremis as monkeys flick haughtiness from empty cots.

If anyone managed to read this far, then check out Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart (1970). Song no10, Neon Meate Dream of a Octafish was the inspiration(that and too much coffee) for this mess.
Beefheart does it much better, naturally.
