Inferno

The fire comes
And it destroys
Consuming all in its path

But instead of barren land
In place of ash and ruin
In its wake it leaves a new world

It leaves a pure environment
It makes the tainted land whole
It purges me of you

The fire consumes you
Leaving only me
So now I can forget you

And I know, when I'm awake
That I don't need you
Because the fire brought me life

The fire rages on
Consuming forests of emotion
And it creates the world anew

I see with eyes of fire
I have burned my way to freedom
And never will I return
