Half Asleep

by Amerimov   Sep 24, 2004

I'm just half awake
Half asleep
Waiting for the men to come and get me
Looking round with hazy eyes
Waiting for the day to come and free me

When you take me back to reality
Tell my friends where I've been
Tell the world just what I've seen
Half awake
Half in a dream

As I sit in my chair
My body growing numb
But my senses growing sharper
It seems there is more to see
As the world grows ever darker

Too late to turn back
Too far left to go
The words of the dead echo in my ears
Their whispers penetrate my mind
Confirming my greatest fears

But I'm still half asleep
I'm finding the world half existent
Waiting for the pain to overtake me
I'm half awake
Waiting for you to come and save me
