Nature's Calling

by Rachael/7MidniteTears   Sep 24, 2004

Life all around me bursting with joy
They ignore me as if I'm an old-fashioned toy
As the angry tornado races my way
I am left there speechless with nothing to say
Time passes away hour by hour
Its like I'm under a superior power
Step by step I walk closer to the light
I struggle and struggle to win this fight
I pass by the one who makes me weak
It is him that I've been trying to seek
He looks at me once then turns away
I run away crying but trip along the way
The clouds join together to make pouring rain
My heart beats faster as I go insane
The tsunami quickly pulls me aside
Then it thrashes away its mighty tide
I splash in the puddle but it evaporates
Then I realize... Is my time too late?
There are holes in my aching heart
Limb from limb it tears me apart
The pine cones on the ground roll away teared
because they see that my soul is scared
Behind the clouds the sun appears
Apparently they see that I'm in tears
The harsh breeze whistles goodbye
It is confused as I continue to cry
I start to swing higher and higher
Then I realized I just jumped in the fire
The breeze silently travels through my hair
They look but my soul is not there
I walk and look whats around me
I just wish I could open my eyes to see
As I go to the other side my heart turns to rock
I look around unsure as I join his flock
