Sharpened Pencils and Unfinished Love Letters

by Shannon   Sep 25, 2004

Rip out my heart but remember to clean up the mess. I'd never dream of letting anyone see this sight. You told me I was beautiful, you told me I was everything. I was everything you didn't want. I'll give you my all if you give me yours. Please take my heart in one clean sweep. Leave me here breathless and cold but yours to keep.

So breathe in deeper and deeper you're only killing yourself. Look at me and take it all in because I am your last hope of sanity.

You told me you didn't lie, you told me you didn't cheat. You told me we'd be forever one. The day you lied, the day you cheated, was the day this war begun. I got you cornered in your own home. Home court advantage baby as you tear everything I lived for down.

I sit and write unfinished love letters to you. They will never be completed because I fell in love and you fell in lust. You broke my heart and you lost my trust. I'm hating everyone for how I was treated, my memories of you have been depleted.
