DISMISSED
It’s impossible to believe in truth when there wasn’t any before
It’s hard to face reality when I don’t live there anymore
It’s easy to give up on life when I’m tired of feeling the pain
Then I’m eager to try and learn how to smile once again.
It’s intimidating to know that I can’t control my life
It’s confusing to learn that not everything will be alright
It’s confining to realize that I can’t make this go away
Then I’m relieved to find I have a hand to hold today.
It’s painful to hear words tearing up my life and soul
It’s difficult to feel like this, so angry and out of control
It’s insane to cry over things that always remain the same
Then I’m forced to overcome the things I cannot change.
It’s dismissable to see hope in the future I call mine
It’s destroying to remember how I wasted all this time
It’s impossible to believe in truth when there wasn’t any before
Then I find you there and know I won’t be scared anymore.
