INSANITY
A hopeless case of mixed emotions with shattered dreams to fear
Confused of who I am as darkness and fright draw near
Shadows tease my imagination as they dance upon the wall
Memories taunt my sanity as I sit amidst this all
Playing peek-a-boo with tears that blur my vision
Mistakes become clear and ignored as I place the final decision
Night seizes control over the light I cherish the most
What once was music scitters through the air in scattered notes
Insane without a reason to clear unwritten charges
Dawn plays a part in a dream at it’s largest
For a second close to reality I feel the presence of love
Foolish realization pulls me back much quick enough
Burning desires shot down with one simple instant of fear
Confused of who I am, belonging anywhere but here.
