I Do.....or Do I? (part 2)

I see him at school,
several times a day.
I do like him....or do I?
This question always replays.

I know my answer for sure now,
and it is not a yes.
I was foolish to think he liked me,
this I will confess.

At homecoming, I asked him to dance.
He did but with a sort of frown.
I knew at the moment he liked someone else,
and this got me down.

My best friend came up to me,
she told me 'don't be sad'.
"It's his loss if he doesn't have you. For him that's just too bad."

I figured, hey what the heck?
She's right. He's not the guy for me.
Perhaps in time I'll find another.
Until then I'll let it be.
