Tears Come In Pairs

by Cantchangeme   Sep 26, 2004

Walking to the bathroom
Sipping beer under their glares
So lost and so confused
Heading straight for the stairs
Walking with intent
Walking without making a sound
Running without shame
Head buried deep in the ground

Run away from here you don't belong
Do you even know that you did wrong
Leaving your conscience here
So you could die for a day
Drop your feelings and run away

Walking to your room
This feelings getting colder
Yes you're going to die
Because were all getting older
Of course my eyes see
That you've got a love complex
You say relationship
But all you really think of is
Sex

You turn your head
As you smile within your eyes
Minds start to think
All you really told me were lies
Bleeding from your ego
Heading straight back down stairs
Through the angry people
Trying not to meet conscious glares

Leading through example
Leaving feelings inside hollow
Withholding information
You walk off expect us to follow
The tears of inside
But all tears they come in pairs
You stay in your room
And you sit thinking nobody cares

Thinking what you lost
Thinking about the dark
Thinking about forever
Think about the park
Think about your strife
When you really think
All you've messed up is
Life

Think about their laughter
Think about their glares
Think about the sadness
Slowly go back down stairs
Tears they come in pairs
