The real me

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Sep 26, 2004

I don’t fit in,
This happy world of yours,
I don’t fit in,
I have to many flaws.
I’m not rich,
Or exciting, or cool,
I don’t want to b**ch,
Or be a tool.
I want to be me,
Not hide behind a mask,
I want you to see the real me,
Without me having to ask.
I want to truly enjoy my life,
Tired of this pretence,
I don’t want to use this knife,
But it’s my only defence.
I don’t fit in,
This happy world of yours,
I don’t fit in,
I have to many flaws.
