We could change the world

by Mild insomnia   Sep 26, 2004

And it suddenly hit me,
Like a silver star falling from the sky,
How idiotic and blind I've been,
Oh, I.
I can't believe that I didn't see,
It's like I've blinkers on to the whole wide world,
Still if I saw, would it change a thing,
I'm just a girl.
At times I feel so small,
All I can do, is sit and watch it all,
Oh, if only I were smart,
I wouldn't have to watch the world fall apart.
Like the sun's followed by the moon,
It's so obvious where we went wrong,
And now we're sitting in dull and gloom,
This war,
Has it really changed anything?
Have we really made Earth a better place?
Did anybody really win?
Stare into space.
Do you see anything more?
Or is it black, with lots of stars?
Oh, can you still hear me?
Or are you to wrapped in this hell to believe?
If we all pull together,
We could probably change the world,
And we'll change it for the better,
For every boy and girl.
