Crimson Canvas

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 26, 2004

I followed you home,
Walked in your steps,
Counted your exhales,
Breath after breath,

Smiling all the while,
While you were unaware,
Didn't know you were followed,
Didn't know I was there,

The night was so dark,
And the wind was real strong,
But that didn't stop me,
Had to put you where you belong,

Pictured it in my head,
Trying to perfect,
Debating where to start,
So that they would not forget,

A simple little giggle,
Made you turn around,
I hid beneath the shadows,
So I would not be found,

Walking quickly now,
I knew you were afraid,
I took advantage,
And then took out my blade,

First stab, then you fell,
Surprised, and you were weak,
You tried to put up a fight,
As tears fell down your cheek,

Begged for some mercy,
But I chose not to hear,
I told you to relax,
I told you not to fear,

I glided my blade through,
Your body countless times,
All the while, thinking,
With my just gone insane mind,

Painting pretty pictures,
With your blood so red,
Never really hearing,
Those pathetic words you said,

You were my crimson canvas,
And I finally had revenge,
You were defeated, eyes shut tight,
My pain was avenged.
