If I called

by StarGirl   Sep 27, 2004

I don't know you
where have you gone?
The moment I think I have you,
You wave goodbye... so long.

I've become jaded with the sunrise,
and my smile has faded with the sunset.
But as the sunrises I stand on the porch
with my bland cup of coffee that scorches my tongue.

You can come home now,
I've called off the search
and I've called every number but yours.

Would you answer if I called?
I can't seem to bring myself to... at all.

Ohhhh...my, this is brilliant, honest, and i want to say almost brutal, cause it hit me in the chest so hard it hurt....each word, each line not one wasted or out of place, i really can't say enough about this, from beginning to end so fluent and wrapped together like cellaphane...excellent!

I can definately relate to this poem 100% and to be honest anybody who has ever been in love can relate too. You feel so alone without that special somebody and you just want to do anything to take your mind off of them. You call all your friends and you make plans, but the one person you wish you were with is them....amazing job 5/5 GG23
