Voices.

Desperately Calling
Out to a voice
That I hear in my head
Without a choice

Constantly talking
Just wont sustain
Rattling and Pounding
Thoughts in my brain

Fighting it off
Swaying my hands
Knowing that no one
Could ever understand

Whispered nothings
Faltered within
Telling me to commit
The biggest sin

Deep little secrets
Say laugh with a smile
Though I'm awaiting
A deadly trial

It smells my fear
Senses my pain
Knows just where to put
The needle in my vein

I hear it tell me
To make myself bleed
It says its the right thing
That its what I need

So I take my razor
Or maybe my knife
Whatever is closest
And endanger my life

Without hesitation
Or one second thought
Stupid and reckless
And oh so distraught

This voice is my enemy
And lives deep inside
It pulls me apart
But is never satisfied ...

Wonderful poem, Katie. All of your work is just amazing. I really hope you are doing alright. Chin up, try and pull through. Life is hard, that's just the way it is.
