Anything For A Friend

by Rebecca   Sep 27, 2004

Why? Why can’t I have a friend,
One who is true without a doubt.
Who is there when I need them, and not caught up in their own grief
A friend who will take the time to talk.
Who will love me, no matter who I am,
And they’ll except me for me
Because they know that’s all I will ever be
Just someone who will hug when I’m not feeling right

Of course I’ll be there to listen too
Because I’ll do anything for my friends
Because their all I’ve got in the end.

But when a friendship starts to peal like thirty year old paint
When one of us in the relationship lets go
And grabs hold of the sinful saint

I wonder if anything will happen in the end
Or will we go back to being normal friends again?

All I want in life
Is a friend who will be there
One who will really care
But I won’t give up without a fight

Depressed mood swings
Broken Smiles
I’ll take a bullet
And I’ll run a mile
I’ll do anything for a friend
Give a kidney
Give a hand when you’re stuck
Throw the ball when you’re at bat
I’ll make you smile, when nothing else matters.
I’ll be your best friend
Cause you’re all I want in the end
