Miscarriage

I was so scared that daddy wouldn't be happy about this news,
But then we both were so joyous,
until we had to lose.

Why god had to take you,
i guess I'll never know,
Why he let me carry you so shortly
then made me let you go.

I'll never get to see your smile or even the color of your eyes,
I'll never get to hear those wonderful baby cries.

I guess I'll never understand god's ways,
I just have to try to live each and every day,
knowing that God must've wanted you for better reasons,
and just remember you through all the seasons.

You must've been too wonderful,
you must've been too beautiful,
It must've just had to be,
For God to take a child from me.
