A Single Tear

by Dani Ward   Sep 27, 2004

A single tear will roll down my face,
a small part of the pain inside,
it will fall leaving a wet trail on my cheek,
as my pain i continue to hide.
all traces will disappear,
and no one will ever know,
about the tear of pain and sorrow,
that for a moment with intensity did glow.
and i will keep smiling my fake smile,
and laughing my fake laugh,
and no one will see through my facade,
my pain will show on no graph.
i will keep hoping for true happiness,
for true love to set me free,
and for my pain to be taken away,
by the special someone God made for me.
and if this never happens,
i will cause my final end,
to stop the pain and sorrow myself,
from this pain to defend.
but if it becomes a reality,
i will thank God every day of my life,
and never take for granted,
the love of my wife.

Patience and perserverence is one of the main things God makes us go through is life. Just hang on and keep writing. Great poem!
