Love you - Hate you

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 27, 2004

I love you, I hate you,
It's all too close to tell,
Define to me what love is,
Break it down and out of it's shell,

You've hurt me in a way,
I'll never have words to describe,
Tore my dreams from my hands,
And ripped away my pride,

Walked across my dignity,
And ignored that I still existed,
Gliding past me every day,
Your hands were tense and fisted,

Could you not bare to look at me?
Did I disgrace your name?
Would your image have been ruined?
And was this all a game?

Did I mention my heart is broken?
And it cracks with every beat?
Without you I feel lonely,
Worthless, and incomplete,

But I'm powerless to stop it,
I'm weak, and this you know,
I thought you were better than this,
But I guess it goes to show,

Really - I'm just nothing,
Never have been, never will be,
But you were everything to me,
You saved me, you fulfilled me.

.... Sigh * :-/

This is quite an old poem ... I recently re-discovered it, so I submitted it.
