Her Pain

by Tiny   Sep 28, 2004

As she goes to say, “I love you”
She gets that feeling
The same feeling that she gets when she tells him goodbye
It hurts her to live with knowing the fact that he is gone
Even though she still sees him
She knows he’s not there
She knows that he isn’t gone forever
Just for a while
But she still cries
And she still wants him to be there
To be there for her whenever she needs him
And to tell her all these things that he thinks of her.
She sits on her bed
With paper and a pen
She starts to write a letter to him:

When you say I’m beautiful
I say, "yeah right!"
But what I’m really saying is,
"Do you really think so?"

When you say good job
I say, “thanks!"
But what I’m really saying is,
"I love that you notice!"

When you say we’ll be together forever
I say, "I hope so!"
But what I’m really saying is,
"I hope “forever” never ends!"

When you say I love you
I say, "I love you too!"
But what I’m really saying is
"Never stop saying that!"

When you say that I don’t care
I say, “Yes I do!”
But what I’m really saying is,
"I care for you more than you'll ever know!”

As she finishes the letter
She begins to look it over
Realizing what she wrote
She started to cry
She doesn’t ever know why she cries she just does
Probably because she knows she has a broken heart.
And every tear she sheds
She realizes that she adds one more once of her pain to her heart.
