Pinch me; I’m dreaming (A.K.A. The girl of my dreams)

by Oliver Stevenson   Sep 28, 2004

The first night I saw you from afar
I knew that I would see you again
For I was to sleep with a comforting sight
The sight of your beauty on my mind
Could not be erased from my heart

The night of my sweetest dreams
Was every night I saw you
Where I pictured you in front of me
Staring into my eyes as I stare into yours
I could not look away, drawn in by you

From that point on, my thoughts were of you
And grew as a tree on the ground
These feeling that I sent to you
You sent some back, that’s when
‘Pinch me! I’m dreaming!’

But no, I was not
For it was a reality when I saw your face
Close upon mine on our first kiss
The thought lingers in my head
And I wear it proudly.
