End of the road

by beaver   Sep 28, 2004

She's reached the end of the road,
Lived three score years and ten,
Cried millions tears throughout her years,
But she would gladly do it again,
She married the man she loved,
A passionate relationship nipped in the bud,
Her husband was killed in the war,
She filled life with all that she could,
But the memory was buried deep inside,
She worked in a bakers shop,
Paid very little for doing a lot,
But it eased her pain and she soon forgot,
From time to time it would come alive,
She returned to her youth her man by her side,
She has no fear she does not weep,
We all have dreams from which we cant hide,
The angels came and took her away,
So peaceful now not a sound is heard,
They did this whilst she was asleep,
She is dancing around free like a bird,
Watching over the whole of the world,
Holding hands with the man who's been waiting,
No longer lonely no longer sad,
Re-living her life and celebrating.
