Can you help me out
with all this pain?
Can you give me love
for my heart to gain?
Can you heal my wounds
and erase my past?
Can you always be there
and make this last?
Can you touch me
and grab my soul?
Can you hold me
as if I'm whole?
Can you pick me up
when I fall down?
Can you smile for me
when I start to frown?
Can you see into my heart
when I try to hold back the pain?
Can you help me to release it
so bottled up feelings I don't gain?
Can you always care
and never let me go?
Can you show me your love
so that I will know?
Can you wait for me
if I asked you to?
Can you not rush me
into the things I not ready to do?
Can you not hurt me
so you don't break my heart?
Can you always be there
so we don't ever have to part?
I know you can
because you showed me
I know you can
because you let me see!
I love you
this I hope you know
so we can always be together
and let this love grow!
