One Last Word

by DMG   Sep 28, 2004

Blood in my eyes, I can see death.
Gasp for air, choke on my breath.
One last word, I want to speak.
Open my mouth, but I'm too weak.
Close my eyes, my soul leaves.
Time has fooled, I've been deceived.
So few years I have lived here.
I never thought the end was near.
But now I'm gone, I've left the past.
And one more word was all I asked.
But now she'll never know of my love.
So I cry rain from the heavens above.
