Begging Creation's Prayer

Can you even see me?
Are you listening to my plea?
I'm reaching out for you
To unlock this cage and set me free

Do you even know I'm there?
Am I close to getting through?
I really need you to care
I just need someone I can talk to

My eyes no longer see beauty
Only thoughts as black as night
Life's no longer special
And of it's meaning - I'm losing sight

Now, more than ever, I need you
Just an hour of your time
You don't have to really listen to me
Or is my demand such a crime?

It hurts when I find myself looking at you
And know you're not looking back
Seeing right through me
Focusing on everything I lack

God, if you're there and listening
Could you please just help me through?
I don't know if you really exist
Or if I even believe in you

But nows your chance to show me
That in life, there can be good
Listen to my one last prayer
And please answer, if you would

Do you think you could find a place
Amongst your angels there for me?
A place where I could forever
Spend a sleepless eternity

A home that has no darkness
And a light that always shines
Do you think I could be accepted there?
If I could just open up my eyes

I come to you on my knees
Begging you to fulfill this one last wish
Please give me back the hope I've lost
So I can get through all this

I've lost my guardian angel
He's left me broken and fallen behind
So, if you just had one moment
I won't take but a second of your time

God - I'm praying to you one last time
So if you're really existent in the heart
I need you to take my hand now
And on this endless journey - Together we can start

I need you to befriend me now
Because no one else will put forth
An effort to understand this vacant soul
Who knows not what she's worth

So lead me away from evil
And steer me clear of fatal temptation
Listen to my prayer, my cry for mercy
And save this broken creation.
