Passing the Buck

by Mustardhart   Sep 29, 2004

The way this life is
Everybody passing the buck
Nobody owns up but kiss
Blame as swimming duck

Al hammered the wrong nail
Didn?t attract praise, but acrimony
Jamie had to carry it in pail
Deep within she knew it is not funny

Dave walked late into the meeting
Weather, traffic or Ruth his wife takes blame
Their innocence even a-singing
No wonder in his eye lies aflame

Suzy played and danced and never read
Exams came, questions she can?t attempt
Rick her boyfriend must be responsible she cut
Or the teacher she holds in contempt.
