Save Me

by Marlise   Sep 29, 2004

I lay crying,
slowly dieing,
why was I lying,
about my life?

I thought about how it sucks,
when you become lovestruck,
then you run out of luck,
and go down the wrong path.

I turned to a life of wrong,
I though I did belong,
but I guess I was headstrong,
because now it's too late to save me.

I loved him, or so I thought,
I went against what I was taught,
And as I threw my life away. I thought "So what?"
I've lived a life of sin.

Just save me,
don't let me be,
Please set me free,
Just save me from my thoughts.

Hey Marlise, loved the poem. The three first lines that rhymed were great, it is truly difficult to make them all rhyme and keep up a good feel of the poem. Bravo!
