Creature

by Zachariah Jones   Sep 29, 2004

Transformed by the darkness of night
Encapsulated in the brilliance of the moon
All reality seems to change shape and distort
Everything around me seems to fall away
Vision of the night enhanced by the bite
Longevity attained by the ancient curse
Eternal life brought upon, bestowed, and risen
Paid for with the price of eternal innocence
Morals changed by the claws sunk inside
Her venom leaves its toll open and chaffed
Assimilated and slowly taking mind control
All that was a concern, no longer arising
No longer a child of the day, living the old way
Children of the night are awakened and risen
Old memories stolen and deeply forgotten, stifled
No more of the perceptual pure way of life
No more innocent blood flows through these veins
Venom overtaking all mind and motor functions
Sense of right and wrong slowly disregarded
Tailoring to the new life, tailoring to your ways
