Don't look too deep

by Mild insomnia   Sep 29, 2004

It's so amazing how you see,
Through my false smiles,
Deep into me,
And all the while,
You're making sense of me.

I'm empty inside,
Pandora's box, if you'll comply.
And so I have to keep, and hide,
Lost in, my mind.

Push me til I break,
Suffocate me til I wake,
Bring me back to hell and to this game,
Never be too late,
Stop me from such mistakes,
You can't see inside,
For your own sake.

I hate to have to lie to you,
But it's something that I must do,
I cannot let you see right through,
But it's so hard, to stop you.

See how much I can take,
Break me down until I fade,
Ressurect me, and then start again,
Try until you hate,
Me for putting you through pain,
It's too hard to contain,
If you read me, I'll go insane.

My words are cold, and I don't want them to hurt you,
But truth be told, they'll haunt you til I loose you.
I'm burning inside, wishing you well, and feeling hell.
I'm sick of the lies, but I love you, you can't see through.

Stop figuring me out,
You can't know what I'm about,
If it were up to me you'd leave me now,
And still I don't know how,
I'm never falling down,
Keeping it inside, won't scream or shout.

My heart and head are telling my to let go,
The only thing you're holding onto, is my soul.
