Dig Me a Grave

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 29, 2004

Dig a grave and then bury me
Welcome me into the dark
Throw the flames of hell at me
Every last dying, wilting spark

Take a knife and carve your secrets
Deep into my veins
Show me the world with your hands
Make scars to show your pain

Beat my weakened body senseless
Steal the oxygen from my lungs
I know this terrifying torture
Has only just begun

Pin me up against a cement wall
And say all you've ever needed
Prove to me the nothingness I'm worth
Show me how I have been defeated

Scratch my tears away from my face
And say it's not okay to cry
Show the world who I really am
But forget all the reasons why

Push me down and make me crawl
The rocky coals on my knees
Smoke reasons for my existence
Send them soaring in the breeze

Dig me a deepened hollow grave
And never awaken my broken soul
Leave me there to suffocate and rot
For this devil in me has taken control.
