The Final Touch

by Luke   Sep 30, 2004

You left before I finished my sentence
I was giving you my best regards
From day to night your sign fades off
Grab this eternal piece from the clouds

Haziness to a clear extent
A child's rhyme never ends like this
The rhythmic beat has turned to constant
The ringing I'll hear for years to come

I had danced with you the night before
Conversed with you before you shattered
I watched the being as he crossed you over
Selfishly, I hate you for leaving me

But what can you do?
Then again, what will I do?
Maybe you're better off then you were before
If you are, then I have to be

Maybe some day we can meet again
And maybe some day we'll dance on the clouds
The very same way we used to
Just this time it will be for real
But what can we do
What do we have but dreams
It seems that all I have of you is a memory
My favorite place to be
